Fall 2006 Be a Part of AAMC’s HeritageThere are many ways donors can support regional health care by making their charitable gift to support AAMC while retaining some or complete personal control over their assets. Below are popular methods that many donors use as members of AAMC’s Heritage Society. Bequests. A convenient and revocable way to leave a lasting legacy while providing potential savings to your family on estate taxes. A percentage of the estate or specific amount is typically mentioned in the bequest that can be arranged with the simple addition of an amendment to an exiting will or trust. Charitable Gift Annuities. This irrevocable gift to AAMC can provide a lifetime income stream to the donor and/or donor and spouse. Charitable annuities provide immediate tax deductions. Life income payments, a portion of which is tax-free, can be paid quarterly. Life Insurance. Existing policies that have cash value can be donated to AAMC providing an immediate tax deduction to the donor. The hospital also can be named a beneficiary of life insurance stipulating a set percentage and/or a specific dollar amount. For more information about these and other ways to help provide high quality health care through a charitable contribution, include AAMC in a gift bequest through a will, trust or life insurance and be recognized in our Heritage Society, please call the Foundation at 443-481-4747. |
