An Amazing Workplace!

From our opening in 1902 as an 11-bed “Emergency Hospital” to our place today as a regional health care provider, AAMC continually has met the community’s growing health care needs. Our past is inspiring, our present bright, and our future very exciting.

We have received national and statewide recognition for our efforts to provide superior quality care. Nationally, we are accredited by The Joint Commission and, in Maryland, the Health Services Cost Review Commission has distinguished the Medical Center for its efficiency and record of service to the community.

Be An AAMC Volunteer!

It’s easy for you to help your neighbors and your community when you volunteer at AAMC. We are looking for people ages 18 and older to help in a variety of services. Our wish list includes:

• Volunteers with interest in retail and clothing for working days in our unique consignment store, the Clothes Box, or to work Saturdays in our Gift Shop.
• Volunteers who like a fast-paced environment for evenings and weekends in the Emergency Department.
• Volunteers with computer and office skills to assist in a variety of clerical tasks.

For more information and to learn about benefits, call the Volunteer Placement Office at 443-481-5055. Volunteer information sessions are offered on the third Thursday of the month; registration is required. These sessions are held in the Auxiliary Office, located in the Acute Care Pavilion, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. Evening sessions can be arranged.

New Auxiliary Leadership

AAMC’s Auxiliary plays a key role in the success of AAMC. The members’ tireless dedication and philanthropy provide an invaluable service to our community.
