Spring 2007 New Leadership at AAMC
|
Tori Bayless, who joined AAMC in 2005 as vice president for Clinical and
Support Services, is Anne Arundel Health System’s new chief operating officer.
Ms. Bayless previously served in a variety of administrative roles with
Washington Hospital Center. She has extensive experience in health care operations,
business development, physician recruitment and practice management,
managed care and strategic planning.

Sherry Perkins, Ph.D., R.N., is AAMC’s new chief nurse executive and vice
president for Patient Care. Ms. Perkins joins Anne Arundel Health System after
15 years of progressive leadership roles in patient care and quality services at the
University of Maryland Medical Center. Prior to joining AAHS, she was vice
president, Patient Care Services and Clinical Effectiveness. In 2006, Ms. Perkins
completed the Wharton Nurse Executive Fellowship at the University of
Pennsylvania.

Paul T. Elder, M.D., an anesthesiologist at AAMC since 1985, is the new
president of AAMC’s Medical Staff. Dr. Elder received his medical degree from
Wayne State University School of Medicine, and has been licensed in Maryland
since 1984. In 2003 he was appointed by Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich,
Jr., to the State Board of Physicians.
