Accredited Chest Pain Center

AAMC has earned a three-year accreditation as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. The additional designation “with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)” illustrates AAMC’s commitment to conducting PCI on patients with STEMI (ST segment elevation myocardial infarction) — a type of heart attack that can cause massive damage to the heart muscle if not treated quickly. AAMC first received a three-year accreditation as a Chest Pain Center in 2006.
