Foundation Update Spring 2009

Shrink-free, lifetime income available to thoughtful AAMC donors

You may have already heard about a popular life income gift called a charitable gift annuity. In exchange for your thoughtful gift of $5,000 or more in cash or appreciated stock, the AAMC Foundation will send you a check every quarter, or annually if you wish, for the rest of your life. Although the economy may rise and fall, your payments will be the same.

Our commitment to you is backed by the full assets of our organization. The older you are, the higher the fixed payout. For example, if you are 85 the payout rate is 8.1 percent of your gift; if you are 75 it’s 6.3 percent; and if you are 65 it’s 5.3 percent. A husband and wife also may establish a gift annuity together, in which case the payout rate is slightly lower. Moreover, you also will earn a charitable tax deduction.

To learn more, please call Bob Harrison at the AAMC Foundation, 443-481-4745, or email him at rharrison@aahs.org.

Thanks to Our Supporters

THE AAMC Foundation extends a warm thank you to the community and local businesses for supporting AAMC so generously in 2008. The commitment from our donors is amazing. A special thanks to our local business supporters.
