The Community Service Initiative (CSI) promotes partnerships with community organizations in order to improve the health of the community, enhance patient care outcomes, and advance the image of the nursing profession.
How do we do this? Our teams provide education at the Light House, first aid tables at athletic events, medical screenings and vaccination clinics, and more.

The Community Service Initiative recently participated in the 6th Annual Homeless Resource Day in Anne Arundel County. Over 22 county service providers attended and more than 460 adults and 95 children were served. AAMC nurses managed a triage table completing health data bases, blood pressure screening, medication reconciliation and education, and dental, vision and social services referrals.
(Clockwise from top left) Eve Sage, RN, Mary Lou Colegrove, RN, Rachel Turner, RN, and Heather Turner, RN, were part of the team of AAMC nurses who attended this community service event.
