College Students in Medical Fields

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at AAMC as part of your college program. We place college students in either our Emergency Department or our surgery recovery room as scheduling permits. College students need to provide the following medical documentation:

• PPD Tuberculosis test dated within a year of completion of expected volunteer service at AAMC.
• Proof of measels, mumps, rubella (german measels) and vericella (chickenpox) immunizations. We strongly recommend receiving a titer blood test as proof of immunization. All hospitals require this test and completing this test now will eliminate the possible need for further testing in the future.
• Proof of Hepatitis B immunization. Again, we strongly recommend receiving a titer blood test for this immunization. The three shot series is not always effective and the only way to know for sure is through the titer test.
• If you are not able to receive the titer tests, shot records may used. Verification of chickenpox will need to come from a physician.

There is also a $20.00 fee for your required uniform.
