What Is a Patient and Family Advisor?

An advisor is a patient, family member, or member of the community who collaborates with us and provides input on AAMC policies, programs, or practices affecting the care and services we provide.

AAMC is committed to strengthening the partnership between health-care providers and patients and their families. Patient and family advisors contribute to that partnership in various ways.

Benefits of working with an advisor

Working with advisors is part of our patient- and family-centered care in which patients and families are allies for quality and safety within our health system.
