It's comforting to know that you have chosen a nationally recognized and accredited health care center to become part of your breast health care team.
The Rebecca Fortney Breast Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
NAPBC accreditation is given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care. These centers undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance, and must demonstrate that they comply with standards established by the NAPBC for treating women who are diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease.
In its evaluation of the The Breast Center, the NAPBC noted that “the clinical research initiative, high-risk patient evaluation and management and patient support services significantly exceed the applicable NAPBC standards and, as such, represent an example of clinical ‘best practices’.”
