The Breast Center offers a high risk program for women who are at increased risk of developing breast cancer. The Risk Assessment and Prevention (RAPP) program identifies women who have a higher risk of the disease and provides them with important information to help reduce their risk.
More than one thousand area women are part of RAPP. During the first visit, RAPP participants meet with specialists from The Breast Center who review their medical history in detail and undergo a thorough breast exam, complete with diagnostic mammogram screening and/or other tests, as needed.
With advanced tools and strategies, including genetic counseling , our Breast Center specialists work in close partnership with patients to educate them about how to reduce their risk in the future. RAPP also provides patients with important reminders about upcoming appointments and tests to help them keep track of their breast health.<< Home
