AAMC is one of only 22 locations in the nation to offer a dedicated Breast Fellowship program. Board-eligible general surgeons who apply from around the country are selected by a review committee to complete specialty training in breast surgery for a year with

AAMC breast surgeons.
As a fellow at the AAMC Breast Center, surgeons gain experience in a variety of areas, including breast pathology, oncology, radiation treatment and lymphedema. Their specialized breast training involves rotating through these subspecialties, working with patients, performing procedures and experiencing other aspects of an always evolving curriculum. The surgeons are also involved in leadership training adapted from business models.

This program brings talented physicians trained in all aspects of breast care in contact with our patients. Their enthusiasm, fresh ideas and perspective contribute to the Breast Center’s programs, patient care and expertise.
