Breast Tumor Board

At the Anne Arundel Breast Center of Excellence, every newly diagnosed breast cancer patient seen at the Breast Center is reviewed every week by the breast physicians and staff of the Breast Center to ensure patients are receiving the most compassionate and state-of-the-art care for their breast cancer.  In addition, patients are often presented and reviewed at the weekly multidisciplinary Breast Tumor Board, which includes specialists from different all aspects of breast cancer care.  The members of this board include Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery (Breast and Plastics & Reconstruction), Radiology, Pathology, Lymphedema, Clinical Trials, Tumor Registry, Psychiatry, and Naturopathic Medicine.  The result is to ensure the care that our patients receive is truly comprehensive and coordinated.
