Close By When Minutes Count.
“The AAMC Heart & Vascular team saved Lynne’s life. She was a healthy woman in her 40’s who was an exercise instructor. That’s the thing about a heart attack – it’s sudden, unexpected, and it can happen to anyone. This is one investment in our community that we know has a huge impact.”
- Lynne & Mark Powell
It’s a shocking reality for so many families like the Powell’s. When it comes to heart health, minutes can make all the difference. Having superior, local heart and vascular care through AAMC’s Heart & Vascular Institute is critical to saving the lives of those we love.
The heart of heart and vascular care at AAMC is the Heart Station where more than 15,000 patients a year receive vital testing and diagnostics that can save their lives. While the Heart Station’s impact is tremendous, its limited size cannot keep pace with the needs of our growing community. The Heart Station currently provides care for double the number of patients it was originally built to serve.
The solution? AAMC’s Heart and Vascular Philanthropy Council has launched a “campaign” to expand and refurbish the Heart Station, bringing in new state-of-the-art equipment that will allow our medical team to care for more patients each day, while getting more comprehensive results in a fraction of the time, and allowing our physicians to analyze tests quickly no matter where they are (in the hospital or in the world) when the results are ready.
The Heart and Vascular Philanthropy Council is seeking your generous community support to raise the $500,000 to make this expanded heart care facility a reality for all who live, work and play here.
Please join us! Unite with a dedicated group of volunteers, physicians, administrators and other supporters saving lives!
