Prior to joining AAHS, Baldwin served as chief information officer leading information services for several premier healthcare organizations. Most recently, she served as chief information officer for the University of Virginia. Additionally, Baldwin was senior vice president of information services for the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, vice president/chief information officer for Bon Secours-Richmond, and director of information services at Riverside Health System (Virginia). She has installed systems from most of the major suppliers including Epic, Siemens, Cerner, GE, IBM, Eclipsys, and McKesson. Baldwin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Old Dominion University, and a master’s degree in Health Administration from Duke University. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, is certified as a Project Management Professional, and is a board member for the Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC). Baldwin has previously served as chair of the University Health System Consortium’s CIO Council and chair-elect for the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Group on Information Resources. She served for many years on the United Way/Jefferson Region’s Program Review and Funding Committee. Baldwin has been published in the HFM Magazine on the topic of executive information systems and received an award from Hospitals magazine for being one of the leading information services directors in health care early in her career. |
