RAPP helps women reduce their risk of breast cancer

by Medical Staff Office on October 29, 2013

The AAMC Breast Center is the only center in the region that offers a high-risk program for women who are at an increased risk of developing breast cancer.

The Risk Assessment and Prevention (RAPP) program identifies women who have a higher risk of the disease and provides them with important information to help reduce their risk. More than one thousand area women are part of RAPP.

Participants meet with specialists who review their medical history in detail and undergo a thorough breast exam. Specialists then work with participants using advanced tools and genetic counseling, to educate patients about how to reduce their risk in the future. Learn more here.
