Tics and tourette syndrome: an adult perspective

This review article (Cleve Clin, July) reviews the pathophysiology and management overview (including pharmacologic treatment,  nonpharmalogic  and deep brain stimulation.  “While onset is most frequently in childhood, tourette syndrome should not be considered exclusively a disorder of pediatric patients.  The complications and comorbidities that are encountered in children and adolescents often persist into adulthood.”  click here to read full-text
