Critical Drug Shortages as of August 22

The most critical items are: Erythromycin: A limited amount of vials are left (~15) with none available at the wholesale level at this time. Medications out of stock include atracurium, caffeine benzoate IV, methyldopa IV, pancuronium, phentolamine, prochlorperazine IV, and secretin. Items that have been resolved include foscarnet IV (available on special order), hydromorphone PCA, isosorbide dinitrate (5 and 10mg available, no 20mg tablets), phytonadione IV, and sulfamethozole/trimethoprim IV (Bactrim) with a limited amount available and the IV form still restricted to ID.
