With all the hard work completed so far on the Alec patient revenue cycle software implementation for Anne Arundel Health System, our integrated testing was not successful. Therefore, the decision was made to delay the implementation until December 1, 2012.
Implementing a new software package such as this one affects many people, processes and systems. A quality implementation means our front-line staff are well-prepared to use the new software, patients are not delayed during registration and receive a correct and timely bill, all while the health system continues to collect payment. Our commitment to those who count on us for care is what compels us to allow these additional two months to prepare for a seamless execution.
An updated training schedule to reflect this change will be communicated as soon as possible. In addition, Babette Vos and her team will be in contact regarding the status of other IT projects that have been on hold.
