by jhopp on October 16, 2012

Effective Wednesday, October 17, the Laboratory will offer two new in house Heparin Anti-Xa testing options, available in EPIC as: “Heparin, LMW” (Low molecular weight) and “Heparin, UF” (Unfractionated) . Testing is performed daily and results should be available within one hour of receipt. Each caregiver should establish the patient’s normal therapeutic range, but suggested ranges will appear with the results. For questions regarding the clinical utility of either of these tests, please contact Jared Calish, Clinical Pharmacist at X 4833 or Dr. James Welker. Read more>>
