Date: Begins July 2 and will occur 1st Monday of every month

Objectives: After participating in this activity, successful participants should be able to:
-evaluate the role of surgery, adjuvant chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, and others in treating cancer.
-introduce and evaluate new treatment and diagnostic tests regarding cancer.
-provide peer review and case management of current cancer therapies.
Needs Assessment: There is growing understanding nationwide of the need for a comprehensive approach to the treatment of cancer patients. Based on data from many scientific trials demonstrating the benefits of multimodal treatments for various cancers, the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) is strongly encouraging member institutions to provide more emphasis on a cohesive, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to each individual cancer patient. A greater commitment on clinical trial accrual is also encouraged, and this is best coordinated via comprehensive cancer tumor board conferences.
Target Audience: Ob/Gyn’s, Oncologists, Urologists, Family Medicine, Women’s and Children’s Staff and all other interested Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals
