January 3, 2013- Christine Crabbs is now the manager of Health Promotion for Anne Arundel Medical Center. In her new role, she will work closely with community leaders to promote community health and will also provide leadership for the askAAMC nurse advice line.
In her prior position, Crabbs served as executive director of the Hospice & Palliative Care Network of Maryland. She was responsible for the operations of the network, including coordination of public policy priorities. From 2002 to 2008, she held progressive leadership positions at the Tate Cancer Center at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, including manager of cancer support services, operations manager and director. Crabbs was also an adjunct faculty member at Towson University’s Health Science Department. In the early 2000s, she served as one of Anne Arundel Medical Center’s cancer prevention coordinator.
She has received several awards from the American Cancer Society for work in advocacy and public policy and served as vice president and legislative chair of Smoke Free Maryland from 2001-05.
