(January 20, 2014) —On February 15, 2014, the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) practice on Kent Island will become part of Anne Arundel Medical Center, which will operate the urgent care center and primary care practice located in the Kent Island Pavilion. The doctors and staff from JHCP will become employees of Anne Arundel Medical Center.
The new names will be Kent Island Primary Care and Kent Island Urgent Care. Both practices will be located in current space on the first floor of AAMC’s Kent Island Pavilion, 1630 Main Street, Chester.
There will be no interruption in the delivery of care during the transition. Patients have been notified about the change in a letter mailed to their homes.
These practices will strengthen further Anne Arundel Medical Center’s primary care network and local residents’ access to high quality care which is convenient and close to home.
“Patients will receive the same excellence in medicine and service that the community has come to expect from Anne Arundel Medical Center,” said Steve Clarke, vice president, physician services. “We remain committed to continuing to provide expert medical care to the residents of the Eastern Shore.”
