Pathways takes the time to nurture the special talents of each individual, whether in the classroom, in the gym, in small group meetings or on the adventure training course that occupies several acres behind the main building. Patients learn team-building skills at the same time they are developing new self-confidence and self-esteem by conquering difficult physical and mental challenges. Pathways and patient confidentiality go hand-in-hand. From the time of admission and throughout the individualized treatment programs - either inpatient or outpatient - each individual's personal dignity is respected by all staff members. Patients and their families feel safe - not only because Pathways is a secure facility but also because of the program's unbroken pledge of privacy. Pathways places great importance on nurturing, understanding and restoring trust and hope in family members. Honesty, openness and willingness are considered the keys to recovery and to the mending of the rifts among family members that is a common by-product of addiction. Pathways' treatment team includes a board-certified psychiatrist, certified drug and alcohol counselors, registered nurses, an adventure therapist, family counselors, certified teachers, physician’s assistants and physicians whose specialize in addiction medicine. |
