• The AAMC Breast Center enrolls 25 times as many patients in clinical trials as the national average. AAMC must have a high volume of patients and meet strict guidelines to participate in these trials.

• The number of births each year at the Rebecca M. Clatanoff Pavilion ranks AAMC second in the state of Maryland. AAMC is the only hospital in Anne Arundel County that provides full maternity services.
• The AAMC Center for Spine Surgery, an inpatient unit devoted exclusively to spine surgery patients, performs almost 1,000 spine procedures per year, second in the state of Maryland.
• The Society of Chest Pain Centers has awarded AAMC a three-year designation as a nationally accredited Chest Pain Center, one of only two hospitals in Maryland to qualify for the designation.

• Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology, part of the DeCesaris Cancer Institute, has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation by the American College of Radiology, signifying the highest standards of the radiation oncology profession in providing essential service to our community.
