OutpatientAAMC Speech Language Pathology Therapists
Our physicians may recommend speech therapy for their patients, and these services are provided in the Acute Care Pavilion. Speech-language pathologists assess the patient’s speech, language, swallowing, voice, and cognitive-linguistic abilities at the bedside, and provide treatment as indicated. Patients with diagnoses such as aspiration pneumonia, head and neck cancer, stroke, dementia, and a variety of surgical procedures may require speech-related services.
Speech-language pathology services are also provided in the new Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, located in the Health Sciences Pavilion
