AAMC provides a full range of state-of-the-art orthopedic services, from minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques to delicate orthopedic surgery. Its Center for Joint Replacement has been designated as the premier East Coast site by Biomet, Inc. The Center is internationally recognized by health care professionals for its unique patient-centered pathway and its ongoing quality assessment program. Each year, approximately 1,200 successful hip and knee replacements are performed. The Center has the shortest length of stay and the lowest cost of any hospital in Maryland where this procedure is performed.

Center for Spine Surgery

The unique Center for Spine Surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center is dedicated to caring for patients with back or neck disorders.

Recent major breakthroughs in the surgical treatment of spine disorders, including minimally invasive procedures and outpatient procedures, have led to reduced time off work, improved productivity, reduced pain and an overall improved quality of life. These procedures require a sophisticated, specialized team approach. AAMC, in conjunction with orthopedic and neurosurgical specialists, has developed this comprehensive program which addresses the pre-admission, surgical and recovery needs of patients.

Our surgeons specialize in surgery of the spine. The center offers specially trained staff who work closely with physicians to speed recovery.
