Non-Surgical options There are many non-invasive ways to manage back pain including using correct lifting techniques and correct posture, maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise including daily walks and the cessation of smoking. In addition, many alternative therapies exist that can help alleviate back and spine pain. At AAMC, our Wellness Center offers a wide range of programs to support health and wellness for back issues including massage therapy, Reiki, Tai Chi and acupuncture. These comprehensive wellness services often provide significant health improvements for patients experiencing back pain. For more information on these services, click here. In addition, AAMC Rehabilitation Services offers outpatient physical therapy, which can help enhance mobility and daily activities. Outpatient therapists evaluate patients and provide individualized treatment programs and education to maximize function and manage pain. Customized exercise programs are also included to assist patients.For more information on these services, click here. Outpatient Rehabilitation at AAMC is located in the Wayson Pavilion, Suite G-10. Interventional Radiology Spine ProgramOur Interventional Radiology Spine Program also assists patients with pain management, performing more than 4,000 minimally invasive procedures each year.
