A woman’s healthcare needs change over time. That’s why AAMC’s Women's Services encompasses programs tailored to all stages of life, including primary care, maternity and newborn care, breast health services, menopausal gynecology and osteoporosis screening and prevention. AAMC’s expert practitioners can meet all of these needs. Specialists in pre- and postnatal care, advanced gynecological and breast surgery, and other aspects of a woman’s health provide the most comprehensive care for any situation. Caring for Moms and BabiesAAMC is the only hospital in the area with complete maternity services, and over 5000 babies were born here last year—the second-highest total of any hospital in the state. Our physicians, nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, and experts in maternal-fetal medicine help provide support and information before birth and beyond. The AAMC Breast CenterThe Breast Center, located in the Sajak Pavilion, is exclusively dedicated to breast health. Fellowship-trained breast surgeons and specialty staff offer the most up-to-date surgical and non-surgical treatments for breast cancer and disease, genetic counseling, clinical trials, and other programs to provide comprehensive breast care. Pediatric Specialists and HospitalistsA hospital stay can be difficult for children, and giving families the information and support they need can make a stressful time a little easier. Our AAMC pediatric team is attuned to the needs of children and their families. And for the times your pediatrician cannot be at the hospital, Pediatric Hospitalists are hospital-based physicians available round the clock to coordinate care for infants, children and adolescents admitted to the pediatric unit. |
