PediatricsAAMC's pediatric unit is located at the Rebecca Clatanoff Pavilion. The unit is decorated with an "Under the Sea" theme, designed to speed the recovery of all ages of pediatric patients.
Pediatric Hospitalists Our pediatric hospitalists are a talented team of doctors who are specially chosen and experienced in providing inpatient care to infants, children, and adolescents. They oversee and coordinate the medical care of your child during his or her stay at AAMC and will work in close coordination with your pediatrician or family doctor, if you have one. These dedicated physicians work only in the hospital, which means that they can focus all of their time, caring, and energy on looking after vour child. They are available, as needed, 24 hours a day as well as on-call coverage for pediatric patients who come to AAMC's Emergency Department at the downtown campus. Other pediatric specialists are also available to assist with the treatment of your child when necessary. From admission through discharge, our team of hospitalists will be in regular communication with the primary care physician, if your child has one. The hospitalists will talk with the doctor about your child's medical history upon admission and they will remain in communication during the stay.
