Reproductive Services Advance The Science Of Fertility
Dr. Gilbert Mottla The risks and complications in pregnancies for women age 40 to 50 can become far less risky and complicated with the involvement of Gilbert Mottla, M.D., FACOG, an AAMC staff physician. Along with two colleagues, Dr. Mottla provides leading edge reproductive services to women and couples who come from all over the eastern half of the U.S. and from as far away as Europe for treatment. No less an authority than the Centers for Disease Control ranks Dr. Mottla’s practice among the top such practices in the country. Dr. Mottla and his colleagues, Drs. Jeffrey McKeeby and Joseph Osheroff, provide services to women or couples in three specialty categories: infertility diagnosis and treatment for the female or male; the management of impregnating older women with eggs donated from younger women; and genetic counseling for couples concerned with the prospects of birth defects due to known genetic factors in their background. The results of these efforts make his specialty one that offers a high degree of satisfaction to Dr. Mottla and his colleagues. “Our mission is to help in the process of prospective mothers becoming mothers and couples becoming parents and ultimately a happy family with a healthy baby,” he says. “What more gratifying enterprise is there than that?” |
