Colon and Rectal
AAMC’s Colorectal Surgery team utilizes the most advanced treatment modalities to provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions of the colon, intestines and rectum. Our surgeons specialize in all types of colorectal surgery.
AAMC offers a complete range of colorectal surgical services for the treatment of colon and rectal cancers and polyps; inflammatory bowel disease; diverticulitis; lower gastrointestinal issues; prolapse of the rectum; and anal fistulas and fissures, among many other conditions.
Surgical treatments we provide include minimally invasive and laparoscopic approaches, robotic-assisted Da Vinci low-anterior resection, liver resection, sphincter-saving surgery, ano-rectal reconstruction for fistula or fecal incontinence, and interventional endoscopy.
Our Colorectal Surgeons and Surgical Oncologists also coordinate patients’ care with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including Gastroenterologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Oncologists, and Radiologists, with the goal of providing patients with comprehensive care in a timely manner.
