AAMC Inclement Weather InformationThis is official information from Anne Arundel Medical Center. COMING TO THE MEDICAL CENTERWhile we make every effort to clear snow and ice from all areas on the AAMC campus during times of inclement weather, please use caution when walking on all pedestrian walkways and exposed parking areas. EVENTS AND CLASSESWe follow the announcements of Anne Arundel County schools. Please listen to local radio and TV stations for closing information.
In the event of a cancellation, regularly scheduled recurring weekly and monthly classes will not be made up; however, you may attend a different session if you wish. Multi-session classes and special one-time events will be rescheduled, and registrants will be contacted with the new date and time. If you are not sure whether the event you are planning to attend will be held, or want to confirm the new time for the event, please call askAAMC at (443) 481-4000. EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTAAMC maintains full hospital operations during bad weather. Our Emergency Department has implemented a Snow and Ice Emergency Disaster Plan, in which extra orthopedic physicians, technicians, and nurses work to handle the increased number of "slip and fall" injuries that occur with icy weather. 4WD VEHICLE VOLUNTEER DRIVERSIf you own a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, and would like to volunteer to transport hospital personnel to AAMC, please call the Clinical Coordination Center at 443-481-1760. |
