Devon Forbes is a registered dietitian working with bariatric surgery patients to provide education about proper diet and nutrition before and after surgery. She leads monthly support groups, provides nutrition classes and develops educational nutrition materials for individual and group counseling. In addition, she monitors patient progress, reviews patient nutritional labs and makes recommendations for appropriate supplement and diet treatment to help weight loss surgery patients adjust eating habits to reflect a healthy lifestyle.
Prior to her role as bariatric dietitian, Devon worked as a long-term care dietitian in Annapolis. She assessed the nutritional needs of residents and made sure adequate meals and supplementation were provided. She also provided nutrition care in the community and in acute care clinical settings.
Devon is a licensed dietitian by the State of Maryland. She completed her bachelor of science degree in health science from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa. She went on to La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pa. to complete both her post-baccalaureate degree in dietetics, as well as her dietetic internship.<< Take me home
