Level I facilities perform a high volume of bariatric operations annually and provide comfortable accommodations for obese patients such as lifting devices, spacious shower rooms, and special stretchers.
The bariatric center participates in the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), sponsored jointly by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
