Older people can exercise too.

Moving for Health Series
Programs in this series are designed for mature individuals, people who have had joint replacement surgery, or people with arthritis, although anyone is welcome. All Moving for Health Series programs are designed to help participants lead a more fulfilling, active and healthy lifestyle.

Stretch, Tone, and Balance
Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-1 p.m.
This 60-minute, twice-a-week class begins with a full-body seated warm up and progresses with toning exercising using one’s own body weight, as well as a variety of hand-held resistance equipment. Balance drills are followed by gentle stretches and relaxation exercises performed either sitting in or standing behind a supportive chair. Fee: $75 a month.

We recommend that participants consult with their physician before starting these or any exercise programs. For schedules and a physician information form, call askAAMC at 443-481-4000.
