AAMC Lactation ServicesFor a Successful Breastfeeding Experience
For women who choose to breastfeed their babies, AAMC Lactation services is a special resource. Our lactation staff is committed to supporting your individual needs and providing information about all aspects of your breastfeeding experience. Our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are also all registered nurses and together have many years of experience guiding moms and babies. The lactation services retail center is stocked with everything you may need to support your breastfeeding experience. 
Lactation Services retail center Even before your baby is born, the lactation staff is available to answer questions you might have about infant feeding. You can reach our consultants via the WARMline at 443-481-6977. We also offer breastfeeding classes, taught by lactation consultants, to provide information for the best start. After baby has arrived, the lactation support team works with other health care providers during your hospital stay to support your individual breastfeeding goals. This support continues after discharge with telephone access via the WARMline, which is answered every day during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. After discharge, one-on-one outpatient appointments with a consultant, as well as support groups, are also available. For lactation support and information, call the
Mom to Mom sharing and advice is provided in our breastfeeding support groups which are facilitated by our lactation consultants. And for moms returning to work, classes provided through AAMC’s Women’s Education services can help with a smooth transition.
