    Executive Vice President of Integrated Care Delivery and Chief Operating Officer

    Maulik Joshi, DrPHMaulik Joshi joined AAMC as executive vice president of Integrated Care Delivery and chief operating officer in 2016. Maulik comes to AAMC from the American Hospital Association in Chicago, IL where he served as associate executive vice president and president of the Health Research & Educational Trust.

    Maulik has vast and varied healthcare experience. He has served as senior advisor at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and was president and CEO of the Delmarva Foundation, where he was a recipient of the 2005 U.S. Senate Productivity Award. He has served as vice president at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, senior director of quality for the University of Pennsylvania Health System and executive vice president for The HMO Group.

    As executive vice president of Integrated Care Delivery and chief operating officer, Maulik works with physicians, nursing leaders and multidisciplinary team members  to continue to advance our work in service excellence, quality, wellbeing, health equity and population health.

    Maulik has a doctorate in public health and a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Lafayette College. He was Editor-in-Chief for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. He also co-edited The Healthcare Quality Book: Vision, Strategy and Tools and coauthored Healthcare Transformation: A Guide for the Hospital Board Member and Leading Healthcare Transformation: A Primer for Clinical Leaders. Maulik is adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Management and Policy.

    Maulik also served on the Board of Trustees for Anne Arundel Medical Center, the Board Quality and Patient Safety Committee for Mercy Health System, the Health Outcomes Committee for Advocate Health Care, and was the treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the Center for Advancing Health.
