Event Details:
Whether the traumatic event was the result of abuse, an assault, severe accident, or natural disaster, trauma survivors often have similar reactions.They may feel angry, anxious, depressed,or guilty. Additionally they may find themselves feeling helpless, hopeless, and isolated.
This trauma group welcomes anyone struggling with a trauma. The focus of the group is on symptoms and symptom management, connecting with others who understand.
This free, drop in, support group is facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Both have more than 10 years experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assualt, child abuse and other traumatic events.

7th floor of Belcher Pavillion on the AAMC campus. See events monitor on the 7th floor for room assignment.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
- Participants should be 18 years of age or older. Please do not bring children. The topic of conversation is not appropriate for children and child care is not available.
Can I bring a friend for support?
- If necessary you may bring an adult friend with you for support.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
- Free parking available in the parking garage connected to the Belcher Pavillion.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Do I need a ticket or to register for the group.
