Courtney Doyle, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained laparoscopic general and bariatric surgeon. She has been specializing in the field of bariatric surgery for many years and performs many hundreds of bariatric surgeries annually. She is an expert in both primary bariatric surgeries and bariatric revision surgery.
Dr. Doyle completed her medical education and general surgery training at Indiana University School of Medicine. She then moved to Annapolis to complete another year of fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery before ultimately joining the family at AAMC's Weight Loss and Metabolic Surgery program permanently.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Doyle is very interested in medical and surgical education and is the Medical Student Clerkship Coordinator here at AAMC. Her research focuses include the advancement of surgical education and the implementation of emerging bariatric techniques and technologies. She is an active member of the American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.
