receptionists were not knowledgeable about insurance and referrals needed. after calling my PCP and straightening this matter out, I was still billed under an insurance I had many years ago. I called when I noticed this on my receipt for copay and called. the main orthopedic office corrected the insurance and was very polite and friendly. Dr. Thomas's assistant returned my call on another matter and was very helpful and info was sent to me in a very timely manner.

The emergency staff was top notch but when I was transferred to a room, the quality of care went down drastically. The nurse in charge did not want to listen to me or help me in any way. One I remember vividly was named Nik. All of the other nurse's and aides were compassionate and understanding, but not Nik!! I told him I was allergic to Oxocodone but he didn't listen and gave it to me anyway which threw me into anaphylactic shock. I am just thankful that Dr Thomas was called and told them what to do or I may not be here writing this now.
